NYFC improves the well-being of youth and families in the child welfare system, with a focus on older youth aging out of foster care and who are at greater risk of adverse outcomes.

We partner with the NYC Administration for Children's Services and across all of our programing we ensure these young people receive the necessary academic, professional, and personal support services so that they can thrive as independent adults.

NYFC is a hybrid organization, operating as both a direct service provider and an intermediary organization. In addition to our signature programs, we collaborate with stakeholders on innovative programming that seeks to address the most pressing issues facing NYC’s youth in new and innovative ways.

 

This hybrid approach means we take on multiple roles, with each facet of our organization working in tandem to increase the educational attainment, life skills, and career readiness of youth in care.
